Well, I'm disappointed - but amazingly, not surprised. I'm usually a fan of Eastwood, but this film came off to me as rather cliche let alone what I believe is a cheap attempt to win audiences by shifting from one form of emotional drama to another. Somewhat needless to say, I feel rather duped by the whole thing.

The acting is decent, and the camerawork/editing is relatively on par with the median of Eastwood's library of material. The plotline is really the only thing I have a problem with, but of course plot is a key element. There you have it.

Ratings (scale of 1 to 5):

Plot Effectiveness: 3/5. Spoken for.

Cinematography/Shot Selection: 4/5. Typical Eastwood, but nowhere near his best.

Overall Acting: 4/5. If only the plot was better.

Score/Soundtrack: 3/5. It stayed out of the way, but it truly did nothing.

OVERALL RATING: 3.5/5
